Consultation on measures to protect vulnerable agency workers

The Protecting Vulnerable Agency Workers Consultation closed on 31 May 2007. We are now considering the responses received and aim to produce a Government response by the end of July 2007. The consultation aims to address the bad practises highlighted in Success at Work that affect the most vulnerable agency workers, but without placing burdens on the majority of reputable agencies, who do not use these practises. Simultaneously we are seeking to reduce burdens on reputable agencies where we can do so without removing important protection for workers.
