Consultation on a technical amendment to the Cosmetic Products (Safety) Regulations 2004

The consultation seeks views on proposed Regulations which will implement an EC Directive making a minor technical amendment to the Cosmetic Products (Safety) Regulations 2004, in relation to certain substances used in hair dyes, by extending the date for which their temporary use is allowed from 31 December 2007 until 31 December 2009.
As no substantive responses to the consultation were received, there is no formal Government response. The proposals as defined in the consultation document were implemented by Statutory Instrument S.I. 2007/3452 laid on 17 December 2007, which entered into force on 31 December 2007.
