Social and environmental guidance to the gas and electricity markets authority

This consultation seeks views on proposed revised statutory guidance to the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority as to the contribution the Authority should make towards the attainment of the Government’s social and environmental policies. The revised guidance seeks to ensure that the Authority continues to make a contribution on current policies, appropriate to its functions and statutory remit, including policies on carbon emissions, renewable energy and fuel poverty. This consultation is not intended to define new policy in those areas.
