7 - 16 March 2008 - National Science and Engineering Week

A national celebration of science, engineering and technology, featuring thousands of events open to the public. National Science and Engineering Week (formerly National Science Week) is an opportunity for people of all ages to take part in science, engineering and technology activities.

National Science and Engineering Week is endorsed and funded by the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) and co-ordinated by the British Association for the Advancement of Science (BA) in partnership with the Engineering and Technology Board (ETB).

7 - 13 September 2008 - The BA Festival of Science

The BA Festival of Science is one of the UK's biggest science festivals. Annually it attracts around 400 of the best scientists and science communicators from home and abroad who reveal the latest developments in research to a general audience, at a week long event held at a different location each September. The Festival is funded, amongst others, by DIUS.

In 2008, the Festival will take place in Liverpool, hosted by the University of Liverpool.
