BOOKING A PLACE
Attendance at EMAR events is generally free and open to any interested person to attend. However, registration at least 48 hours prior to the event is essential. You can reserve a place by emailing your name, organisation and details of the event you wish to attend to: emar@berr.gsi.gov.uk. We get a lot of spam, so please make sure you include the title of the event in your email subject line
VENUE
Except where a venue is stated, all EMAR events are held at the BERR Conference Centre, 1 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0ET. The nearest underground stations are St James’s Park and Westminster. External visitors will need to provide photo ID. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early, to allow time for passes to be issues.

CHALLENGES AND INNOVATIONS IN ESTABLISHMENT SURVEYS
Establishment surveys play a critical role in forming our understanding of social and economic behaviour in areas as diverse as employment relations, education, workplace safety and business performance. However, such surveys also present a number of methodological challenges that are not commonly encountered in surveys of individuals or households.
The conference brought together a number of experts in the field to examine some of these challenges in detail and to identify innovative methodologies. The programme addressed a range of topics from sampling and contact procedures to methods of maximising response.
