Action by local authorities is critical to the achievements of the Government’s climate change and energy objectives.
This Energy Measures Report, published on 18 September 2007, sets out the steps that local authorities can take to:

The report pulls together existing sources of help and advice to local authorities on climate change and fuel poverty into one single document. It is structured into the following series of modules, allowing local authorities to navigate only to those sections which are relevant to them:

The contents of the report were informed by the Guidance to Local Authorities in England and Wales on Climate Change Mitigation and Fuel Poverty consultation on the approach the Government should take towards the report, which ran from 9 May – 1 August.
