The UK Fuel Poverty Strategy and Annual Monitoring

Cover of UK fuel poverty strategy: 6th annual progress report 2008

The Government produces annual reports of progress towards meeting the targets set out in the UK Fuel Poverty Strategy. The reports provide updates on actions since the publication of the UK Fuel Poverty Strategy November 2001, and highlight some key areas for attention during the coming year.

As part of the progress reports, we also publish annexes setting out the methodology for estimating fuel poverty and detailed analysis of the headline figures.

The full 2006 Fuel Poverty dataset is available and contains the underlying data to the 6th Annual Progress Report. To request your copy, email: fuelpoverty@decc.gsi.gov.uk.

For the first time, the 2008 progress report contains a dedicated statistical annex, giving further detail and a range of additional analysis of the 2006 fuel poverty figures. This can be found in the second half of the document below.
