Energie Helpline UK
The Energie Helpline UK is part of an EU wide National Contact Point (NCP) network that works in close collaboration with the Commission to assist in the delivery of a number of European funding programmes. We are the NCP for the 'Energy' Theme of the Seventh Research Framework Programme (FP7) and for Intelligent Energy - Europe (IEE).
As the NCP for these funding programmes, we aim to ensure that UK organisations are well informed and have every success in securing European funding. To help us achieve this we offer a number of services including:
- Telephone/Email support: Our helpline is open from 9am until 5.30pm Monday to Friday to answer your queries on FP7 or IEE. We aim to answer your query directly and quickly, or find someone who can and we will direct you to the relevant EU documentation
- Proposal clinics to provide feedback on your proposals and ideas
- Signposting to UK technical experts and Scientific Officers in the Commission, to help answer your technical queries
FP7 and Intelligent Energy Europe
FP7 and IEE both contribute towards the achievement of EU policy in relation to the rational use of energy and the increased use of renewable energy sources. The overall objectives of the programmes are fundamentally different, with FP7 looking to fund projects that conduct research and demonstration into innovative technologies and Intelligent Energy Europe funding projects that remove the barriers to the market uptake of these technologies.
