Windspeed Database

The wind speed database can be downloaded as six data files (2937KB) (one for each height above ground level for Great Britain and Northern Ireland) with a simple stand alone program to extract the data for a few km squares at a time. This program requires Windows 95 or higher to operate. The files will occupy about 6MB of your hard disk. Once installed the program can be run from the Start menu under "UK Wind Speed Database".
