Potential Research Projects

In 2003, RAG collated a list of potential research needs and issues raised by a wide range of stakeholders ranging from environmental interests (including NE, JNCC, CCW, SNH and RSPB) through to navigation interests (including MCA, Trinity House, and the Chamber of Shipping). The list is now a combined RAG/COWRIE list and is periodically updated. RAG uses the list to develop a programme of work targeted at resolving priority gaps and impact uncertainties and to coordinate work with other groups such as Collaborative Offshore Wind Research Into the Environment.

In 2006, with stakeholder input RAG produced a monitoring and research strategy for wave and tidal stream energy devices.
