Transfer of audit working papers to audit authorities outside the EEA - Informal consultation
The Department is proposing to implement Commission Decision (2010/64/EU) by amending Part 42 of the Companies Act 2006 via regulations under section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972. It has published draft regulations and explanatory text for an informal period of consultation ending Friday 28 May 2010.

Registration of charges created by companies and limited liability partnerships

This consultation makes proposals to revise the current scheme for the registration of company charges under the Companies Act 2006 based on the 2001 recommendations of the Company Law Review and the subsequent advice of the Law Commission.

Consultations on amendments to the Companies Act 2006
The Department published three consultation papers in November 2009 covering issues that would require amendments to the Companies Act 2006 to address issues that have arisen with the practical implementation of the Act. The consultations were on:
