Import Licence application forms
The forms needed to apply for an import licence are available for download here (just click on the form's title).
Use this application form to apply for all BIS import licences, i.e. certain textiles originating in Belarus, North Korea, certain iron and steel products and firearms and ammunition. Guidance notes are attached to the application form. You should also refer to the Notice to Importers relating to the import licence regime you wish to use.
Use this application form to apply for Outward Processing Trade (OPT) licences only. You should also refer to the OPT Notice to Importers.
Use this form if you need a replacement paper import licence which has been lost or destroyed.
Use this form if you are applying for derogation from a sanctions import ban. You should also refer to the relevant sanctions Notice to Importers for that Country.
Use this form if you wish to nominate someone to sign applications on behalf of Directors, Partners or Proprietors. The authorised person can work either in the importing company or their shipping agents. To authorise someone to sign on behalf of a limited company the form should be signed by a member of the board of directors of the limited company.
Use this form to receive electronic licence notifications.
