Review of Economic Assessment and Strategy Activity at the Local and Sub-Regional Level
The findings in this research paper inform and support the approach to the LA economic assessment duty set out in the SNR consultation. The paper highlights the wide diversity in the scope, nature and quality of economic assessments undertaken by local authorities and sub-regional bodies. The evidence shows good practice does exist but that there are examples where economic assessments are partial or narrowly focussed.
