Aerospace Innovation and Growth Team

The Aerospace Innovation and Growth Team developed a strategy to enhance the global competitiveness and success of the UK aerospace industry. Following its recommendation in 2003, actions in the following four main areas are now being implemented: Technology; Process Excellence; Skills; and Sustainable Aviation.

The Aerospace Innovation & Growth Leadership Council - jointly chaired by Margaret Hodge and Mike Turner (CEO of BAE Systems) - is overseeing the strategy and its implementation of the strategy, and also taking account of the impact of emerging issues affecting the sector.
