The focus of the Group will be to make recommendations and develop an Action Plan that:
Considers the effects on vehicle design, how the auto industry might adapt and what new partnerships may emerge given the future challenges of
- changes in demographics on our transport demands;
- energy becoming dominant compared with Carbon emissions due to economics of energy supply and demand;
- the impacts of and the opportunities that will be created by electrification of transport in expanding and renewing the automotive base;
- the influence charging / fuelling infrastructure could play in changing the course of vehicle design; and
- the opportunities presented by adoption of more effective intelligent transport systems and whether ITS is an enabler to new technology introduction;
