Construction People Issues

The construction industry needs to attract and retain a high-quality workforce. That is why the People Agenda figures prominently in Rethinking Construction/Accelerating Change. Construction Sector Unit works closely with various industry bodies to take forward the People Agenda.

Our pages provide a broad overview of CSU’s key policy issues and partners. We focus notably on: the Respect for People programme, which promotes the idea of a motivated and skilled workforce being fundamental to business success; the main issues affecting the construction industry – health and safety, training and diversity; and the various bodies and agencies, including other departments, with whom we work on issues relevant to the People Agenda.
