There is an online training module available for anyone new to Impact Assessments (IAs) or who would like to remind themselves of the process.
It should take approximately one hour to complete, and involves applying the process to a fictional policy proposal.
The training is broken down into various modules. So users can return to them at any time to refresh their memory of the components that make up the IA process.
It has not been developed to teach people the various approaches to cost benefit analysis or options appraisal, or to take them through every field in the template. Much of this information can be found in the guidance or the toolkit.
For more information, and to complete the training module, visit The Better Regulation Executive: Impact Assessment - e-learning website.
Online training is also available for the Standard Cost Model, the methodology used to measure the administrative burden of regulation. This can be found at Better Regulation Executive - BERR: PwC BRE - Standard Cost Model website.
