Chemicals in Consumer Goods

There are special safety regulations that deal with the use of certain chemicals overall, and others that deal with the use of certain chemicals in certain products.

These include regulations on the use of nickel and creosote; the amount of lead and cadmium release from ceramic ware and the lead content of cooking utensils.

You will find further details in the guide and quick facts page linked to on the right.
