Redundancy
Guidance on redundancy can be found on Directgov and businesslink.gov.uk. The redundancy calculator (ready reckoner) can also be found on each of these sites.
Employers should visit Business Link for practical advice on all areas of employment law and for tools to help employers reduce their paperwork and save time.
Employees should visit Directgov which has information on your rights are if you are being made redundant.
Jobcentre Plus can support employers and their employees to help minimise the impact of redundancies and provide help and advice when they are taking place. To find out more about the support available, go to the Jobcentre Plus website and select ‘Help with redundancies’ to find your local Jobcentre Plus contact.
