If you are an employer please refer to businesslink.gov.uk, which provides practical advice on all employment rights for businesses and tools to help employers reduce their paperwork and save time.

If you are an employee please visit Directgov which has information on all employment rights including work and families.

If you require further help Acas operate a helpline to answer individual employment questions that may not be covered by Directgov and businesslink.gov.uk: 08457 47 47 47 (open from 08.00 – 18.00 Monday to Friday).

Prospective mothers and their employers may also find it helpful to refer to the leaflets 'Pregnancy and work: what you need to know' which outline the basic rights, responsibilities and obligations for employers and employees.
