Work and Families History

On 28 February 2005 the Government published the consultation document Work and Families: Choice and Flexibility which sought views on the commitments made in the Ten Year Childcare Strategy. 

This can be viewed in related documents alongside the Regulatory Impact Assessment, which set out the costs and benefits of the proposals, and the Government Response to the consultation, which was published in October 2005.

There is also a link to the Advisory Group of HR experts, which was set up to advise the DTI on how the Government could bring in these measures in ways that ease administration for employers.
