Non-Proliferation - Global Threat Reduction Fifth Annual Progress Report 2007 - English Language Version

The fifth Annual Progress Report on the UK's programmes to address the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Legacies in the countries of the Former Soviet Union (FSU), Countries was published on February 18^th 2008. A Russian Translation of this Fifth Annual Progress Report was published in Moscow on April 28^th  2007

This newly published Annual Report and previous Annual Reports dating from 2003 are available from our BERR Reports and Publications website either in PDF or Hardcopy versions. This publication may also be viewed as a PDF from this page, located in the Related Documents Section to be found to the right of this text, either in its entirety or by individual chapters.

The Global Threat Reduction Programme is aimed at the non-proliferation of weapons or materials of mass destruction through the establishment of cooperative threat reduction projects with key partner nations. In order to enable the UK to work effectively with other countries to address these important challenges, in 2000 the UK Government established new programmes to deal with the nuclear, chemical and biological legacies in the FSU.
