Energy Statistics

Logo of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC)

Energy is now dealt with by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), but this content will remain on this site until DECC’s permanent website is established.

On these pages you will find details of DECC's statistical publications on Energy.  These cover production, transformation from one type of energy into another (eg coal used for electricity generation), consumption, stocks, imports and exports, and energy prices.

As well as spreadsheets containing the data presented as tables in these publications, the publications themselves are available in pdf format.

Energy statistics are also available here in the form of indicators and sub-national energy statistics down to local authority level are also available here for nearly all forms of energy.
