Regulatory Policy - At A Glance

The government has committed to providing business with a one-page 'see-at-a-glance' guide for all new and amended regulations affecting small to medium businesses.

The guides are published as regulation updates on the National Business Link website and are designed so that those in business or thinking of starting one can establish quickly both the intention of the regulation and whether it applies to them.

BERR Enterprise Directorate uses, and pays for, the services of specialist regulatory copywriters so that the cost of producing the guides falls on it, and not the business owner or manager. Their role primarily is to check and clear the content before publication.
