The Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform has lead responsibility for small business and enterprise policy.
The Enterprise Directorate within BERR works across Whitehall, the Regional Development Agencies and key delivery partners to ensure that Government – national, regional and local – understands and responds to the needs of entrepreneurs and small businesses.
The Business Support Simplification Programme
The Business Support Simplification Programme (BSSP) is an important part of the government's drive to make the UK a good place to start and grow a business. It is streamlining the grants, subsidies and advice that government offers to make it easier for businesses to access help and support.
