What's happening in your region
Supporting businesses is a priority at all levels of Government.
Across the country, Government Departments, Local Authorities, Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) and other government bodies are all working in partnership to deliver simpler business support.
Existing schemes are being rationalised and reviewed so that by 2010 all government support products will be part of one Product Portfolio that is managed, marketed and monitored in a coherent, coordinated, consistent way.
In addition, local Business Link provision is being developing to provide the best customer services.
RDAs lead on simplifying business support in the regions.
A number of local authorities are also trialling different aspects of BSSP to ensure smooth delivery at the local level.
