Dr Ian Shott – Chair of the IB-IGT
Owner and Chairman of Excelsyn
Ian Shott is the founder, owner and Chairman of Excelsyn. This is an integrated group of consulting, design/build and molecular development businesses focussed exclusively on the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain.
Ian has held senior executive positions in the International Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Industries for over twenty years and has worked in the UK, France, Switzerland and the U.S.A.
He was latterly President of Rhodia ChiRex’s Manufacturing Division having previously held senior leadership posts at Lonza and Zeneca.
Ian became the Technical Vice President of the Institution of Chemical Engineers in May 2004 and Chairs the Board of the Centre of Life Sciences (CELS). He is also a visiting professor at Newcastle University and Deputy Chair of the North East of England Process Industry Cluster (nePIC).
