Business Guides
To guide you through the key issues involved in developing a climate change project, we have recently updated our simple business guides.
The first of our Business Guides gives an overview of the Kyoto mechanisms with particular emphasis on emission reduction projects that are eligible under the Kyoto protocol. The following two guides provide high level advice to introduce companies to the Clean Development Mechanism and Joint Implementation respectively. The final guide focuses on how to develop baselines and assess whether a project is additional, two of the most fundamental requirements project developers need to fulfill in order to generate carbon credits.
The guides were all updated in April 2008 and a Spanish (Latin American), French and Mandarin translation of an abridged version of the 'Beginners Guide to the Clean Development Mechanism' and a Ukrainian version of the 'Beginners Guide to Joint Implementation' are also included below.
