Publishing - Recent Government Initiatives
Since September 2000 Government information can be accessed on the Internet and used in various formats by publishing businesses. Details are available from the HMSO website. (now known as The Office of Public Information)
The DFES's Curriculum Online project provides suppliers in the education software industry with the opportunity to sell digital education materials to schools. Schools will have access to Electronic Learning Credits of £100 million a year for the next three years to spend on such materials.
There are also EU Initiatives that are relevant to the Publishing industry.
